Mode of action
Revystar®, the first product with the new active ingredient Revysol® (mefentrifluconazole) from the DMI fungicide class, reliably controls all important fungal pathogens in wheat, barley and triticale. A very broad spectrum of activity is achieved in combination with Flexity®. In addition, the active ingredient metrafenone reliably controls the diseases of eyespot and powdery mildew, which were the focus of early application, and Revysol® is also highly effective against mutated fungal strains thanks to its uniquely mobile molecular structure. In combination with a formulation optimally matched to the active ingredient, Revystar® offers an excellent curative effect in cases where infection has already occurred. The rapid uptake into the leaf interior ensures an immediate effect and also provides reliable protection against losses due to weather influences such as rain and sunlight. In the leaf, Revysol® is slowly released from a reservoir of active ingredient into the sap flow of the plants and thus protects areas that were not covered during application over a long period of time.Revystar® & Flexity® sets new standards in the early control of fungal diseases in cereals, particularly septoria leaf blight, eyespot, powdery mildew and rust.
