Mode of action
Tessior® is a sprayable fungicide for protecting fresh pruning wounds on vines. It reduces new infestation with pathogens that lead to vine diseases such as ESCA.
Tessior® contains the fungicidal active ingredients pyraclostrobin and boscalid, which are embedded in a polymer matrix. When it dries, a solid protective film forms, which prevents the harmful fungi from penetrating the wood both through its fungicidal effect and its mechanical barrier.
The infestation of vines with vine wood diseases can go unnoticed and asymptomatic for years. With advanced infestation and especially under stress conditions, symptoms such as tiger stripes on the leaves, black dot-like discoloration on the berries (chronic course) or even the sudden death of entire parts of the vine or even total failure can occur.
The aim of treatment with Tessior® is to maintain the vitality of the vines to enable age-homogeneous vine stocks with high must quality.
