Compatibility

Balaya® is well tolerated in the recommended application rate in all cereals.

Miscibility

Balaya® is miscible with fungicides e.g. Flexity, with herbicides e.g. ®Biathlon 4D®, with insecticides, with growth regulators, e.g. Medax Top® and Prodax®.

For mixtures with growth regulators containing etephon, be sure to follow the instructions for use of these products: Always add etephon-containing agents to the spray liquid last!

The addition of ammonium nitrate urea solution (AHL) or urea is possible. The use of more than 20 l or kg of product/ha can cause damage to some wheat varieties at high temperatures and low humidity.

In the case of tank mixtures with urea, first dissolve it completely. Only then Balaya® and other mixing partners as described.

We are not liable for negative effects of tank mixtures that are not recommended by us. In tank mixtures, the areas of application and application regulations for the mixing partner determined and approved by the approval authority must be observed.

Mode of action

The combination of F 500 (pyraclostrobin) and Revysol (mefentrifluconazole) from the active ingredient classes strobilurine (QoI) and azole (SBI) has succeeded in formulating a new high-quality broad-spectrum fungicide. ®®Balaya® is characterized as a combination product by a broad spectrum of activity against the most important fungal pathogens in wheat, barley, rye and triticale.
Due to its uniquely mobile molecular structure, Revysol is also highly effective against mutated fungal strains. In the leaf, Revysol is slowly released upwards from an active ingredient reservoir into the sap stream of the plants, thus protecting over a long period of time even the areas that were not captured during application.
F 500 sustainably inhibits spore germination, the formation of infection structures, mycelium growth and the sporulation of harmful fungi. The active ingredient is absorbed through the leaf and shows predominantly local systemic and translaminar activity.®®®

With many fungicides, there is generally a risk of the occurrence of drug-resistant fungal strains. Therefore, under particularly unfavourable conditions, a change in the effectiveness of the remedy cannot be ruled out. The application rate recommended by BASF must be observed.
