Mode of action

The active ingredient Revysol® (mefentrifluconazole) from the active ingredient class of DMI fungicides safely combats all important fungal pathogens in wheat, barley, rye, triticale and oats. Thanks to its uniquely mobile molecular structure, Revysol® is also highly effective against mutated fungal strains. The rapid uptake into the leaf ensures an immediate effect and also provides reliable protection against losses due to weather influences such as rain and sunlight. Revysol® is slowly released upwards from a reservoir of active ingredient into the sap flow of the plants and thus also protects the areas that were not covered during application over a long period of time. Prothioconazole is an ergosterol biosynthesis inhibitor with systemic properties against a broad spectrum of fungal pathogens in wheat, barley, rye and triticale. Prothioconazole has a preventive (protective) effect, stops existing latent infections (curative) and prevents their further spread. With many fungicides, there is a general risk of the occurrence of active substance-resistant fungal strains. Therefore, under particularly unfavorable conditions, a change in the effectiveness of the product cannot be ruled out. The application rate recommended by BASF must be observed.
