Mode of action
Revytrex®, the first combination product with the new active ingredient Revysol® (mefentrifluconazole) from the azole active ingredient class and Xemium® (fluxapyroxad) from the SDHI fungicide class, safely controls all important fungal pathogens in cereals. Thanks to its uniquely mobile molecular structure, Revysol® is also highly effective on fungal strains that have lost their sensitivity to other fungicidal active ingredients due to mutation. In combination with a formulation that is optimally adapted to the active ingredient, Revytrex® offers an excellent curative effect even in cases where infection has already occurred. Rapid absorption into the leaf interior ensures an immediate effect and also provides reliable protection against losses due to weather influences such as rain and sunlight. Revysol® is slowly released upwards from a reservoir of active ingredient in the leaf into the sap flow of the plants and thus also protects the areas that were not covered during application over a long period of time. Xemium® ensures the broadest effect with maximum efficacy thanks to a further mechanism of action and offers very good long-term performance due to the active ingredient depot on the leaf. The combination of Revytrex® with Comet®, the active ingredient F 500® (pyraclostrobin) from the class of QoI fungicides, ensures the control of important diseases and achieves the broadest possible effect. In addition, Comet® has physiologically positive effects on plant development (e.g. stalk stability and non-specific leaf spots).Revytrex® & Comet® sets new standards in the control of fungal diseases in cereals, especially Septoria leaf blight, rust diseases, net blotch, Ramularia leaf blight, reduces drought stress, improves stalk stability and reduces non-specific leaf spots (PLS). With many fungicides, there is a general risk of the occurrence of active ingredient-resistant fungal strains. Therefore, under particularly unfavorable conditions, a change in the effectiveness of the product cannot be ruled out and the application rate recommended by BASF must be strictly adhered to.
