Miscibility
According to previous tests and practical experience, Scala® does not show any specific incompatibilities in mixtures with commercially available fungicides, insecticides or acaricides. A preliminary test is recommended before mixing with foliar fertilizers.
Mode of action
Scala® is a contact fungicide with translaminar activity against scab (Venturia inaequalis and V. pirina) and gray mold (Botrytis cinerea). The active ingredient pyrimethanil belongs to the anilino-pyrimidine group and interferes with the amino acid synthesis of the harmful fungi. The preparation has a predominantly protective (preventive) effect, but also has a curative (healing) effect for up to 48 hours. Scala® is also very effective at low temperatures. With many fungicides, there is a general risk of the occurrence of fungal strains resistant to the active ingredient. Therefore, under particularly unfavorable conditions, a change in the effectiveness of the product cannot be ruled out. The recommended application rates must be strictly adhered to.
