Mode of action
The active ingredient Revysol® (mefentrifluconazole) from the active ingredient class of DMI fungicides safely combats all important fungal pathogens in wheat, barley, rye and triticale. Thanks to its uniquely mobile molecular structure, Revysol® is also highly effective against mutated fungal strains. The rapid uptake into the leaf ensures an immediate effect and also provides reliable protection against losses due to weather influences such as rain and sunlight. Revysol® is slowly released upwards from a reservoir of active ingredient into the sap flow of the plants and thus also protects areas that were not covered during application over a long period of time.
The active ingredient F500® (pyraclostrobin) is a fungicidal active ingredient from the strobilurin group, which is absorbed by the treated plant parts and exhibits local systemic and translaminar activity. This means that fungal stages that have established themselves in deeper layers of tissue can also be treated. The active ingredient is also bound to the wax layer of the plant and forms depots there. Metrafenone sustainably inhibits the formation of infection structures, mycelial growth and sporulation of harmful fungi. The active ingredient is absorbed by the plant and distributed systemically. Metrafenone is characterized by an effect against powdery mildew (Erysiphe graminis) and eyespot (Pseudocercosporella herpotrichoides) that lasts for several weeks and by very good resistance to rain.
With many fungicides, there is a general risk of the occurrence of active ingredient-resistant fungal strains. Therefore, under particularly unfavorable conditions, a change in the effectiveness of the product cannot be ruled out. The application rate recommended by BASF must be observed.
